Emveco is an Oregon corporation established in 1977. We manufacture, sell, and service a family of laboratory test instruments used primarily in the paper and film industries. Our primary customers are the quality control operations of paper mills and plastic film manufacturing plants. The emphasis being currently placed on ISO 9000 certification has broadened the need for our equipment to many of the converters of these basic paper and film products.
Our primary focus has been the manufacture of instruments that measure the thickness (caliper) and smoothness (printability) of paper and film. Our caliper instruments are recognized throughout the industry as the most outstanding with respect to accuracy, durability, and ease of operation. They are truly the "standard of the industry" and our reputation is unparalleled. Our smoothness measuring equipment is unique in design and provides data about the printability of the product being tested that is not available with any other testing method. It has become the standard for measuring kraft linerboard and paper. It is rapidly becoming widely used in the coated paperboard industry.
We have over 1000 instruments currently in operation, most of which are located in North America. We do have distributors in other parts of the world. Our manufacturing facilities are located in Newberg, Oregon.
We also provide "extended warranty" service contracts on our equipment. Many of our customers have elected to have this extended warranty to insure optimum performance of their equipment and to reduce costs.
